Hi everybody,
Could anyone tell me what should I specify in TASC "outlet piping element" under thermosiphon piping?
I've got vertical thermosiphon - 508 mm outside diameter. I specified inlet piping, arc bends etc. The problem appears when I come to "outlet piping elements". I've got just horizontal pipe without any bends connected to column bottom. I specified only dimeter and lenght of this pipe -> TASK warns me that: "The height 700 mm of the vapor return to column above the top of the tubes or shell appears to be inconsistent with the sum 0mm of the vertical lenghts of outlet piping. Please check the Thermosiphon input data carefully".
Am I forced to use any vertical pipes at the outlet? I don't want to use them!

You don't need to specify any vertical piping.
QTASC7 in the example directory doesn't have any. (this is a thermosyphon example)
I wonder if the different heights (liquid, return, etc.) are consistent.
I suspect the best solution is to contact Aspen Support or upload the case here.
Kind Regards
