Good day everyone,

I'm a Chemical Engineering student, & I'm designing a Brazed Aluminum Plate-Fin Heat Exchanger.

Does anyone know a book that has a way of cost estimation of that equipment?

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

HoNdA,

Have a look at the following:

http://www.alpema.org/stand.htm

This link may give you further links and connections for costing of Brazed Aluminum Plate-Fin Exchangers.

Regards,
Ankur.

Thanks for your reply, sir.

But I already searched the Alpema standards & they only give manufacturing standards with no costs.

I was hoping for a reference with charts or empirical equations relating cost to heat transfer area or something like that like the ones in "Coulson & Richardson" Vol.6

Again, thanks for replying. :)

Thank you, Mr. Breizh,

This really helped me estimate the cost of the equipment using the range of price per unit area.

Many thanks. :)
