Could you please suggest couple of reciprocating pump manufacturers for pumping 3% calcium chloride solution.

Design Conditions:

Liquid: 3% Calcium chloride solution

Temperature: Ambient

Flow Rate: 0.5 to 1.0 GPH

Pump discharge pressure: 90 psig

Suction pressure: 2 psig

Calcium chloride being corrosive, I am procuring PE lined piping and valves with PTFE liner.

Thank You
Mahesh

Mahesh,

Some of the best low capacity diaphragm or plunger pumps are manufactured by the following companies. I have used their products and found them quite reliable. The MOC can be tailored to suit the corrosion properties of the pumped fluid.

LEWA pumps+Systems

Milton Roy

Below are the links to their websites:

Mahesh:

I would recommend you contact Milton Roy here in Houston and work with them on this application. I would seriously try to stay away from a plunger-type pump and would try to apply a hydraulic diaphragm-type of pump. Milton Roy has various types and configurations as I recall and can be of great help.

Don't under estimate this type of application. Try to specify and build on Milton Roy's expertise in the field. They have had to pump every imaginable type, color, viscosity, slurry, corrosive that you can imagine. Ask them for recommendations - but based on your SPECIFIC needs and detailed description of fluids and conditions.

Hope this helps.
