Hi all, We are operating 1300 KM long 16'' LPG pipeline system. We are having the black powder problem.
Is there any solution to minimise the formation of this black powder...?
Does the chemical cleaning help to remove this black powder..? Kindly explain about chemical cleaning of the pipeline.

Hi R NESAMANI
I am not expert in this field, however I have attached two pdf articles about black powder, that I seem useful to your concern.
The one is a well documented case about this problem, the other one is for brand promotion equipment.
Good luck
Fausto.

Good and useful stuff, Fausto, to educate those (like me) not having known about "black powder" in pipelines. It seems that chemical cleaning (in the sense that a chemical reacts with FeS) is not feasible, sorts of removal applied in practice are described in the pdf articles.
