Dear All,

I need the process flow diagram of full condensing steam turbine system which comprises of turbine, generator, cooling towers, normal & start up ejectors, condensate pumps with condensor etc

if some one has please share with me.

Thanks

Narnia,

I am not sure whether somebody might share a full-fledged PFD for a power plant but I am attaching an overview of a coal based power plant which provides a broad picture of a power plant using coal as a fuel and running steam turbines.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ankur.

Ankhur,
I didn’t need the complete PFD of the Power plant; I just need the PFD/P&ID of the condensing type steam turbine. So that i will determined the process of steam ejectors, condensor etc & what are minimum requirement of instruments & control required for turbine operation and then cross check with my supplier data and P & IDs.
Also it will be helpful for me if you guide me on below mentioned some points
1. Direction of turbine (what should be & why)
2. Direction of generator (what should be & why)
3. Excition method
4. Cooling method of generator
5. RPM of turbine & generator (should be same or not if not then should do)
Thanks

hi...all
I just want to ask question to Mr Ankur (ankur2061)....
The pfd that u attached here is very nice....I liked it....but i hv some doubt.....

In Rankine cycle, its can be seen that the HP and the LP steam turbine having the same Inlet temperature....!!!!! How it is possible.....that both HP and LP steam is having the same superheated temperature......!!!!
It can also be seen in figure that for HP steam we hv a superheater.....while in case of LP steam....it dont hv any superheater than how can be both the steam level hv same temperature.....

please can u explain it?

Dear wingsofdream,

Steam inlet temperature of HP and LP turbine can be same but both of them will have different steam pressure . You can observe from the block diagram steam for the HP turbine comes from the superheater after expanding in the HP turbine it enters Reheater to get reheated to a temperature equal to that of the temperature at the inlet of HP turbine and then enters LP turbines, where it expands to the condenser pressure...

Hope the above explanation gives you the answer.
