dear All
I was really wondering if anybody can send me an spread sheet for calculating Single screw Extruder for polymer melts(PP,PA6,PET,..) , if available and not Propreitary.

Extruders are still proprietary design. Throughput from an extruder depends on the geometry of the screw. All reputed manufacturers such as Barmag, Japan Steel Works (JSW) and others can provide you the throughput data for a given single-screw design and geometry for the given polymer pellet input conditions such as the intrinsic viscosity (IV) of the dried polymer pellets and moisture content.

However, some general information on single-screw extruders including the melt throughput can be found in:

Chapter 4, Section 4.6, "Plant, Equipment, and Machines for the Production of Synthetic Yarns and Fibers" by Franz Fourne
