Hi all,

I am sizing a gas gas exchanger in HTFS software.
I am getting follwing opertional warnings. I am not able to get solution for removing this errors.
can anyone could help me on which parameters i can play to remove the errros.

The warning messages are as follows.

1. The HTFS flow induced vibration analysis has idnetified possibel or serous probless in one or more areas: Fluid elastic instability, Resonance Assessments

2. The simple flow induced vibration analysis from TEMA has identified possible or serous problems in one or more areas :Fluid elastic instability, Resonance Assessments

3. The HTFs and/or TEMA flow inuced vibration analysis has idnetified the possibility of acoustic resonce. you shoudl condider using deresonation plate, expecially if ther eis resoncnce of the vortex shedding or turbulent buffeting frequencies with both the acoustic natural frequecies

I have no experience with HTFS. But, from some HTRI experience, but I would like to give it a try to put some information on your issue.

Hi all,

I am sizing a gas gas exchanger in HTFS software.

The warning messages are as follows.

1. The HTFS flow induced vibration analysis has idnetified possibel or serous probless in one or more areas: Fluid elastic instability, Resonance Assessments

This fluid elastic instability may cause from tube vibration in orbital motion which is lift and drag displacements of tubes at their natural frequencies.
Pls check the critical velocity is greater than fluidelastic instability or not.

Acoustic vibration most commonly found in heat exchanger with large shell diameter > (49in) and most often observed when shell side fluid is gas or vapr.
you may change the inlet or outlet space to reduce this problem.
