Hello Gent

I was so confuse here! anyone can knock my head and explain to me what is the different between Pre-commissioning and commissioning? The ITB i had have look is very "generic" type, it does not clear cut the elements between Pre-Comm and Comm.

Look forward

Of course, this is just a definition issue. You go from pre-commissioning to commisioning when the plant is agreed to be "mechanical complete". Often, at this point responsibility for the plant is handed over from the EPC contractor to the owner (operating company).

Precommissioning activities are typically adjustments, cold alignment checks, temporary hookups, vendor checks, chemical cleaning etc.

Commissioning activities are associated with preparing or operating the plant, prior to the initial start-up. The introduction of feedstock signals the start-up and initial operation of the plant.
