Hi,

Currently I am calculating the heat performance of the plate fin heat exchanger PFHE. It has wavy fin on the air side and offset fin on the internal coolant flow. I am not sure which equation to use for factor for wavy fins as there is no exact literature based on it. However, I found the closest colburn and fanning factor based on the geometry is by Junqi Dong in “Heat transfer and pressure drop correlations for the wavy fin and flat tube heat exchangers”
And for offset fin, I am using colburn and fanning factor based on their geometry provided by Manglik and Bergles in “heat transfer and pressure drop correlations for the rectangular offset-strip fin compact heat exchanger”.

Is anyone able to confirm it or with better solutions?

thanks
