Hello I am a process engineer. I have little experience with expansion turbines.
Request a quote for this equipment and the supplier gave me the following answer:
"We checked the parameter of turbo expander with booster, In This parameter, the expander end has high speed and small volume flow rate, However, you end Increasing pressure low speed and large volume flow rate, it makes That Both Sides of impellers can not match, so the technical parameter needs to be confirmed by your sides. "

Actually I do not understand, can someone explain a little more about the problem posed by the supplier.

The flow rate and pressure ratio for the expander service should be near to the flow rate and pressure ratio for the compressor service for similar molecular weight gases. The expander work will be slightly greater as it will drive the compressor. Both sides of the turboexpander must be able to operate together on the same drive shaft which turns at the same speed at both ends. The thrust forces developed by the expander and compressor also must come close to balancing each other as the drive shaft is pushed back and forth between them.

It would really help if you can provide your parameters here,
