Good morning,

I'm working in my final project about ammonia and I need some HELP!!
I know that there is different ammonia sinthesis catalyst (Fe, Ru, ...) but I can't figure wich one is the best. Can anyone help me and tell me where I can obtain information like the composition, the price, the activity, the life time, etc.

Thank you.

HI,
Sandrina
if you are interested about ammonia synthesis over iron catalyst
i can supply all required information
please let me know
All the best

As on date, Ru catalyst is best developed by Kellogg.
However, as per my sources Sud Chemie is developing
cheaper Iron base catalyst (different from conventional one)
which is having comparable properties with Ru catalyst yet at lower price.

I suppose it will replace all existing catalyst in Ammonia industry in the future.

Hi Sandrina,

The best literature information about Ammonia technology will be aavailable in book compiled by A.V.Slack called Ammonia technology. You will get the most information needed for your project and more. Infact it will be your best source for information on Ammonia.

Dear sandrina!
Now, in the world, the best ammonia systhesis catalyst is the catalyst of Topsoe, but the price is quite high. You can visit and contact with Topsoe about properties, price and etc.

Quantum sphere in CA appears to have some interesting research happening in the area of ammonia synthesis catalysts using high surface area nano iron particles to lower cost and increase efficiency / yield, it looks like more info can be found here: http://www.qsinano.c...pps_ammonia.php
