ashrath,
There is nothing called thermodynamic properties of crude oil. Crude Oils are classified based on their API gravity. Higher the API grvaity lighter the crude oil and lower the API gravity heavier the crude oil. Normally when you are doing mass and / or energy balance calculations with crude oil as a material stream you either specify the composition of the crude in terms of its components or you provide a black oil model (when using a process simulator such as HYSYS or UNISIM). The black oil model generally needs definition in terms of API gravity of oil, dynamic or kinemtic viscosity at several temperature points and True Vapor Pressure at several temperature points.
The generic terms used in gulf countries for Arabian crude is Arab Light, Arab Heavy, Arab Extra Light. This list can be found at the following link along with the API gravity defined for each type:

I had posted a blog entry on classification of crude oil with an attachment at the following link:
http://www.cheresour...n-of-petroleum/
The attachemnt provides in-depth explanation for crude oil classification as well as definition of API gravity.

Ankur.

thank you so much for your help yes it is good info.
here i would like to ask you is viscosity effects on the density and oAPI.
you have a vast experience in oilfield can you provide me Physical , chemical & thermodynamic properties of crude oil changes in different places ( UAE,IRAQ, Saudi Arabia……)
