I'm wondering if someone could help explain something to me...

I'm currently working through a dynamic tutorial in UniSim R400 adding in various control loops on a simple gas plant. In the "Parameters" tab of my PID controllers under "current tuning" there are terms listed I am not familiar with i.e. Kc, Ti &Td.

Can anyone shed some light on these terms? So far I have been unsuccessful with the usual google searches.

Cheers!!

winchester427,

http://en.wikipedia..../PID_controller

Kc - Controller gain

http://en.wikipedia....control_theory)

Ti - Controller integral time

Td -  Controller derivative time

There is lot of information on google search by key word PID controller tuning or refer to any process control book.
