Can I use Flat Face Flange Weld Neck for Diesel Piping? The line is A105N, max design conditions are 165 deg. F and 180 psig. The diameter of the pipe and flange is 3 in.

Thank you and more power!

Best Regards,

Athan

Athan:

I would not recommend you use a flat face flange (steel or cast iron?) on a hydrocarbon fluid.

In fact, I would not use a FF flange on anything.

Art,

Thanks for your reply. The material is carbon steel.
