Hi,
We have a nitrogen plant(in design stage),where oxygen is to be removed from nitrogen by using a Deoxo reactor, instead of conventional cryogenic process. In the deoxo reactor oxygen will be removed by reacting feed with hydrogen.Hydrogen injection facility is provided at the reactor feed line.Water vapor produced due to reaction 'll be removed in the adsorber unit present at the downstream.
Palladium catalyst to be used in the reactor.
Process conditions are as follows:
1.Feed pressure - 8Kg/cm2(A)
2.Feed Temperature -30degc
3.Feed flow rate -10,000Nm3/hr
4.Oxygen in feed -100 ppm
5.Oxygen desired in product -1ppm
I have two queries:
1.How much space velocity is to be maintained during such reactor design?
2.Whether oxygen content in the feed is sufficient to raise the reactor to operatibility temperature?
Regards,
