Hi
I am desiging a distillation column for the binary separation of two products. The feed stream is already of high purity thereby making a McCabe thiele diagram very difficult to draw as the feed, bottom product and top product are all very close. Any suggestions for help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

You can use log - log scale with x/(1-x) and y/(1-y) in both axis, draw the equilibrium curve, operations curves, and xf, xD xB I sugest. The rest is similarly.

I hope to be very helpfully. especially for high purity specs. See the attachments please.

thanks!

Hi Ankur

As I promised, attached Isend you the resolution of the problem on propano drying.

Note: To review Kw, for equilibrium constant water between phases V and H in the document, was an error. I corrected this and take care about this involuntary mistake. Im sorry.
