Hi experts ; Could a three-phase separator have only one manway? If yes, where is this located most recommended?

Hi,

 

It's supposed the vessel to be horizontal. Then please specify the length, diameter and if it's applied for toxic service...

Anyway, yes, if the vessel has a length less than 6 m only a single manhole is provided.The best location of that manhole would be the opposite side of the utility connection.

Thank Fallah ; the vessel has a length 15 meters and 3.8 meter of dimeter, Could you tell me the reference criteria that you mention?

It's based on good engineering practices...

 

Your vessel needs at leat two manholes; one manhole for each 6 m...
