I need a good source of material regarding refinery processes containing the process descriptions/technology, flow diagrams and especially the parameters and reactions to take into account taking place in the units. Need to make a presentation. Kindly, suggest me some industrially used standards too regarding refinery. Any one who could do that some one with the interest in refinery ? I would be really thankful too if some one experienced helps me out with their knowledge regrading the technicalities in refinery especially with the parameters thing. Thank you so much. I am expecting so much in the response to it.

Another good source of basic information to get started on is Milton Beychok's great dissertation on crude oil refining found at:

Try to borrow a copy of the book Handbook of Petroleum Refining Processes by Robert Meyers.

@Bobby : Exactly I have an idea of this overview. Now I need to go in its depth. What are the parameters set in these units and reactions taking place and the technologies used for these processes like alkylation, fluid catalytic cracking, reforming, isomerization etc. Something for that ?
@Art Montemayor : It is indeed a good source. I had googled it before. I wanna make the kinda presentation it had named Oil Refiing Processes. Need some more to read. And most importantly I need what are the standards used in refinery industries.
@Ping Pong : Perhaps I have the book in soft that you are suggesting but the problem is that that I have to summarize everything in a presentation keeping it compact, updated and technical =(  I have googled a lot. I need some industrial stuff now. Standards and practices followed in refinery industries that is authentic.
Help ! =|

You ask a lot of information, saying "now I need to go in its depth",  but then you say you have to "summarize everything in a presentation keeping it compact"....

The info in the book that I mentioned is about all the detail that you will find in the open literature, or on websites.

Most of these processes are licensed processes, and the licensors do not publish the details that you seem to look for.

The amount of codes, standards and practices used in the design and operation of refineries is so huge that you really do not want to get into that.

Is that presentation going to be in Powerpoint? How much time does the presentation have to be? So how many powerpoint sheets do you think you will need to make? How many sheets is that per process unit? Maybe two? How much info about a certain refinery process can you put on two sheets? So get real.
