Alfa Laval currently offers several models of plate evaporators, but they are all rising film type.

In India....it's hard to say. I can assure you that we (yes I currently work for Alfa Laval) do not CURRENTLY offer a plate evaporator that is a falling film type. Perhaps the person who posted the message can lend some more insight into this.

I am trying to write an excel spreadsheet for design of Vertical Falling Film evaporators. Can somebody advice me on the equation to be used for calculation of heat transfer coefficient for falling film. I will put this sheet finally on cheresources and would like the professionals to tryout and check the calculations. Reply quickly as this project is a bit urgent.

Alfa Laval had a falling film plate which had a terrible distribution design, they have abandonded that product. The only FF plate evaporator is made by APV. 716-692-3000
