Hi:)
I'm quite confused between the differences between FEED (front end engineering design) stage and EPIC (engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning) stage of the project life-cycle..
Can anyone please help? rolleyes.gif

Thank you very much

wink.gif Hi smile.gif...

May be I can explain in simple way.

FEED : Activity of engineering consultant prior to EPIC stage to create a basis engineering data that will be used as ITB for project execution tender.

EPIC : Activities of project execution by selected EPIC contractor in detail engineering work, purchasing, installation and commisioning as aggreed in contract document (Based on ITB requirement).

sad.gif Some times I found that FEED can be a part of proposal work in EPIC tender, some of EPIC Contractors have a capability of Engineering Consultant. Owner just provide preliminary (raw) technical data based on their Feasibility study and OE. Owner like to minimize cost for FEED stage.

Please CMIIW...
