Is there a way to transform astm d7169 data to TBP to do a simulation in PRO/II

ASTM D7169 is very close to TBP. It is a simulated distillation using GC and similar to ASTM D2887, which is also very close to real TBP.

 

You can either assume that it is the same as D2887 and enter it as wt% D2887 in PRO/II, or you can assume that it is same as TBP and enter it as wt% TBP. Choice depends on what the purpose of your simulation is: simulating an existing unit, or designing a new unit.

I agree about your suggested input as TBP, but I don't understand the meaning of "Choice depends on what the purpose of your simulation is: simulating an existing unit, or designing a new unit.".

I merely meant:

 

Simulating an existing unit: use what best fits actual operating data.

 

Simulating a new design: use what gives most conservative design.
