Is it necessary to control the pH of raw wastewater in sump tank? Does this idea can improve the wastewater quality?

of course,if it is not necessary, can you make sure that your bacteria group will go on work?mostly the sump acts as a PH buffer,it can not be saved from the project investiment as well as a process device.

While it may seem necessary, it is not often practical. The bugs that digest the waste are pretty hearty characters and will live just fine in typical wastewater. Further, the pH changes due to the biological processes. Usually it is the bugs that dictate the pH rather than the treatment plant. What gets you is if someone dumps several thousand gallons of say HCl...that causes great turmoil, but, since such instances are illegal (at least in the States) it dows not happen often.
