Hi Steve,
The priming pot is there to guarantee that the suction line is full of liquid , to prevent vapor lock !

Thank you very much For your valuable information. I want to design the priming tank Can you please help me by giving me the standard for designing this priming tank or better an excelsheet to design it. The issue is a little bit urgent.I rely on your quick reply guys.

here is a sketch . The priming tank will be situated before the suction of the pump. Thanks
