Does anyone have design experience with these older style "box coolers"? There is one on the rundown line to the gas collection unit and we are making a few changes resulting in severely reduced throughput to the cooler. I'm trying to determine what the gas outlet temperature will be at the reduced rate. This is my first encounter with one of these and I'm kinda lost (hopefully, I'm just over thinking it).
It's essentially a water filled drum open to atmosphere with a submerged pipe that the hot gasses flow through. The water makeup to the drum is on level control.
Appreciate any help / tips.
