Hi,
Do you have a PM (maintenance program) with regular tests . This should be in place to prevent such event . You need to contact your contractor , for him to evaluate the damage on your system. I don't think anyone can help you without test .
First priority is to solve the issue with the support of your contractor , it could be an equipment failure (PLC , Solenoid, valve .....) .
Good luck

Hi,
This should be part of the assessment of what is going wrong! You must have good quality water for your fire water system .
Again ask someone knowledgeable to survey your full system . If your fire fighting system is not not working you are in trouble and you should not operate the plant . Until you have fixed the problem you need to find a plan B ( source of water , connection with fire brigade ....) .
What is going to say your insurance company if you get fire ?
Note : I got similar problem where the water used for fire fighting system was recycled water supposed to be clean !!!!.
Good luck

Hi,
Had the relevant PID already been subjected to a proper risk assessment/analysis, say, FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis)?
If so, it should had been forecasted to cope with such failure either a redundant SOV being considered or a regular maintenance (open/close the SOV in normal situation) to be done...
