I have used a decanter in Aspen HYSYS to separate the soapstock into acid oil and acid water, the decanter can work but the water cannot be separated from the oil. I have tried so many times still cannot. Does anyone know why? I need help????

Are you using a thermodynamic/property method and decanter block that handles VLLE?

Did you try your favorite search engine ? Key words aspen decanter sizing.

You will find tutorial/doc about Aspen and Hysys .
