Dears,
I have read that Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) has a validity constraints and thus it might be not suitable for designs involving seawater e.g. seawater cooling towers.
What are the validity constraints of LSI? and if not suitable for seawater, what are the alternatives?
Appreciate your feedback and support...

Hi,
Use your favorite search engine to learn about Langelier saturation index. It has to do with the precipitation of salt in particular calcium carbonate .
A better answer needs better input and a description of your process with numbers .
Consider to read the document attached in the link underneath
https://www.process-...stems-treatment
To me you should consult specialists in the field . you may want to consult Suez water treatment @ technologies

Good luck
