We have 2 unit of Pump (290l/s, 52m head) running in parallel. The suction side is a positive suction from an open tank. The discharge from Pump above are then split into 2 which is:
i) Supply to consumer A at 290l/s, and
ii) Supply to consumer B via a pump in series (Pump X) at a specification of 363l/s, 33m head.

I want to ask, does the NPSHa for series pump (i.e. Pump X) applicable to the conventional equation (Hp+Hst-Hvap-Hfric)? And, is there any recommended reference on how to determine the NPSHa for Pump X?

Hi,

Can you supply a simple sketch to avoid misunderstanding and save words?
