Hello, everyone.
I'm seeking for Shell Thermia B Oil (Shell Transfer Oil S2) in process simulation software like HYSYS/ASPEN PLUS, HTRI, and UNISIM.
Could you kindly guide me on how to add the Thermia B (Shell S2) component to this software?

For flowsheet modelling containg HTFs absent in database we use petro fractions or competitor's HTFs with similar properties
For equipment modelling in the same cases we use pseudo components.
Anyway you need some substitution for such HTF.
Struggles in access to exact product properties is one of the reasons why Dow's / Exxon's and relevant HTFs are so popular in process industry.

Thank you. I understand that TexaTherm belongs to Chevron, not Shell. So I'm concerned about the heat transfer performance difference.

Thank for your advice. I may use the similar HTF instead of Thermia B due to it is not avaiable in the simulation software. Is it right?

Hi,
Probably Therminol 66 or other from the same brand should be suitable.
Edit:
Another one :Paratherm

Make sure that the HTF you have picked up from database has the similar relevant properties at relevant temperatures. Assuming no phase transition is considered those are boiling point, viscosity, heat capacity, heat transfer coefficient, density.
It is up to you to create a private database of fluids missing you are dealing with. Whether by substitution as a competitor's analog or created as a psudocomponent or predicted as a model mix of main components or petro fractions. Any of these options is not ideal and requires time&attention from a user.
