Please for you engineers
I have 45ton vertical tank to store oxygen in liquid phase but not equipped with tonage meter
I try to calc the tonage inside tank
I look forward to any guideline for give approximately solution

I mean any mathematical model to use total pressure of tank, geometry of tank and some losses of vented
To give approximately indication of tonnage

You should have a level transmitter on your storage tank, right?

You should have a Pressure indicator on the top of the ST, right?

You should have a Temperature sensor on the top, right?

You know the total volume of the tank, right?

Basis for calculation:

Mass = Mass liquid +Mass gas 

No losses.

density for gas and liquid at T, P available using NIST web site. Google NIST saturation properties

Volume gas =total volume-volume liquid 

mass gas =volume gas * gas density 

Volume of liquid= section of the tank* height of liquid.

mass of liquid = volume of liquid * density of liquid,

 

I let you the math (simple)- You may want to use an excel sheet to perform the calculation.

It is not possible to do.. Oxygen tank is a liquid-vapor equilibrium, under stable conditions it will keep pressure and temperature.รง

 

Tour company shall provided a leven measurement. Is a safety requirement.
