Hello all,

API RP 14E recommends a C factor of 100 for solid free, continuous service on a multiphase flow through a pipeline to determine the erosional velocity, Ve = C/ sqrt(rho_m).

This is multiphase flow with nat.gas/produced water.

If the flow is sand laden, what value of C factor would be appropriate based on experience. Or is there a different approach is sizing the pipeline?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
