Guys,

 

I would like to discuss about different methods on reducing solids carryover in our reduction autoclave. 

Particle size distribution: 100 to 350 US mesh. 

Allowed particle settling time: 10 minutes.

Discharge pressure: 1500 kpag to an atmospheric tank

Discharge line size: 1-1/2". 

 

Question is: methods to reduce solids carryover through discharge. 

I have a few ideas: 1. increase settling time, 2. decrease discharge pressure, 3. design a riser at the discharge
