Dear Philip,
I have a problem with a typical case of Rupture disks.
We had used RCS type disks (24") of Continental Disks with a Telltale indiactor (pressure switch by Custom Control Sensors model 646GZE1-7023). The service is LP Flare KO drum discharge. The discharge side of the PSE (rupture disk) is connected to the the line itself downstream. The normal D/P is 0.4 bar and the Rupture disk is set for 1.04 bar d/p bursting pressure.
The client says this will not work and so unsafe and poor enginering. The supplier says it is OK and I too believe it is OK. The client believes an alarm strip only will workof the type continental supplies as BDI strip.
I will appreciate if you can you give me an advise based on your thoughts.
Truely
