Hi All,

gPROMS (general process modelling system) is becoming an increasingly imortant simulation tool because of it's ability to solve systems of lumped and distributed parameter models easily.

I am presently modeling a fixed bed adsorber with gPROMS and I have some issues with the solution method. Is there anyone with some experience in modelling or parameter estimation with gPROMS? I would like to share some challenges and tricks. Please reply.

Hi,

We have been using gPROMS for a while now. It get's tricky with parameter estimation as you need to understand the different variance models...but once this is defined and optimised, the rest is easy. I still believe it's the more user friendly packages.
