Ref. May 30, 2006 Relief Devices Forum - LPG Filled Vessels Relief Valve Sizing for Fire Case.

Included in a June 6, 2006 reply "These tanks are filled to a maximum liquid content of 85-90% of the total water internal volume." I would appreciate receiving the identity of the specific standard; recommended practice; guideline; data sheet that was referenced for the 85-90% criteria.

Also looking for the reference re filling rates applicable to filling large LPG bullets and spheres.

Hi Terry,

I haven't seen any reference for 85-90% in any international standard. However, please refer Section 7 for Maximum Liquid Level" in LPG storage tanks of API STD 2510, 8th Edition, May 2001.
