hi, i am new to aspen plus.
i am doing a thesis on model n dynamics of ethyl acetate reactive distillation column.
when i exported a file from aspen user interface to aspen dynamcis and intialized it then a warning is coming.
Warning: Variable EQ_BLOCKS("B1").BackFlow.F is near singular. Estimated error in calculated value is +/- 0.001
n when i am running a dynamic simulation for controlling the distillate product conc
another error is coming
error : integrator corrector failed.
anyone having any knowledge abt the above things n also about aspen dynamics, plz help me out.
thankyou in advance!!!

Hi
I'm also new in Aspen Dynamics. I just hope i could help you a bit.
First you don't have to be panic, because what you are doing is the same thing as in Aspen Dynamics tutorial. Therefore you can figure it out by yourself what's wrong with your model.
From my point of view, there is something wrong when you create your model in Aspen Plus. Try to make trial and error in creating your model in Aspen Plus and exporting it in Aspen Dynamics.
Good luck
PS: If you don't know where is Aspen Dynamic tutorial, it is in Aspen Dynamic help content

@ h2hydrogenz
thankyou for ur help.
my aspen steady state problem is not showing any error.
do u serioulsy think that my prb is in spen plus n not in aspen dynamics?
n as u said i am very much following the tutorials.

Yup
That is something on my mind. If you still have problem then ask the Aspen Support. I know it will take sometime (Currently, i'm waiting for their reply). Well at least try to play the model in aspen plus before export it in aspen dynamics.
Good luck

Hi,
somebody could help me using aspendynamics?
I'm new in Dynamics but I'm not new in AspenPlus.
Is possible starting directly using AspneDynamic without passing through AspenPlus?
How can I simulate the dynamic behaviour of a heat exchanger?
How could I start?
Thanks a lot
Roberto
