May I guide you to DOE website which has an excellent handbook on Chemical Process Hazard Analysis. Please search for this term on any of the search engines and you should be able to find it. I have a copy, but it 1.7 MB and I am loathe to loading this website unduly.

I would also suggest that conducting a HAZOP study is not easy. Only qualified personnel should attempt to do this. I have been a HAZOP chairman and the skills required for conducting a HAZOP are not easily acquired.

If you are doing this excercise to meet CFR requirements then you also need to follow certain procedures and have qualified personnel in the team.

I hope the above helps. In case you need any further help please do let me know. My e-mail is rxnarang@bechtel.com

Regards
