Dear All,

Many a times when a process engineer wants to have a quick look at the physical properties of LPG (Propane + n-butane) mixture of various mole ratios and does not have a simulation tool at hand then it becomes a liittle difficult. Since Propane+n-butane mixtures are one of the most widely pumped LPG products, I have compiled a spreadsheet listing the physical properties sucha as vapor pressure, density & viscosity of Propane+n-Butane mixtures at various mole ratios and ambient temperature conditions. The data has been compiled using HYSYS simulator and can be used as a quick reference while making a site visit to an LPG installation or when a simulator is not at hand. It is important to note that any trace impurities of heavier hydrocarbons will alter the physical properties to a certain extent but generally the attached excel sheet should suffice as a rough guide for estimating the physical properties of Propane+n-Butane mixtures.

Any comments are most welcome.

Regards,
Ankur.
