I came across many sample resumes on different sites. they stated widely about skills, achievements and job responsibilities. Has anyone else seen this? Do I just ignore it? I'm a little concerned about what will happen such sites to follow while preparing a resume?

A resume is about personal professional history and skills. There should be thousands of chemical engineer resumes because there are thousands of chemical engineers. Nobody was born identical with each other, even if twins are different as indicated by the different finger prints. After so many year different foods, different educations and different experiences, how could two chemical engineer be identical? If you have your own resume, just use yours. Somebody may like it and somebody dislike it. Nobody is loved by everybody in this world, right? While, if you have no resume and no idea how to make one, you have to follow the sample's format to generate one. Any one is better than none. Anyway, nobody was employed without a resume unless your daddy is the employer.

Dear shan Hello,

Although in principal I agree with your conceptuality,Ideally your approach may be workable.

However these extracts of experienced people at times helps someone in need of such help.

Art Montemayor posted some good resources regarding resume content and format. I don't have a link to his post so just use the search feature.
