Dear CHE members,

As a newbie at this site I want to ask you about the selection criteria for fire hydrants and monitors? When hydrant and when monitor to be used?

Thanks

Please arrange to have the following standards to get an overall picture of water hydrants and monitors. Selection criteria is also discussed in the mentioned standards:

NFPA 13 - Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems

NFPA 14 - Standard for the Installation of Standpipe, Private Hydrant, and Hose Systems

NFPA 15 - Standard for Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ankur.
